‘Meters’ is the place where you have all your meters and meter readings from your units in one place.
The readings your tenants mark in their tenant apps appear automatically here. You can send reminder emails about submitting meter readings to the tenants from here. Other meter readings can be uploaded to the platform via an Excel spreadsheet. Example template available. Additionally, you can add bulk meters.
Meters are originally added from ‘Units’, but once they’re set up, additional meters can be added ,edited or removed to the unit from here or from the Meters section.
If the previous month’s meter readings have not been added (tenants have not submitted, not imported, inserted manually) then the meter’s line will be red. This helps you keep better track of submitted and not submitted meter readings.
There is an option to change meters in case some meters have been replaced. To do so, the unit should be opened in Meters tab and then the button "Change meter" near the desired meter should be pressed. On button click you will see different data which can be changed manually. Provide new unique ID and group meter ID, dates, and readings. After confirming the old meter will be archived and new meter created with a new provided initial value and date. Note that if the meter has been archived, you cannot add any meter readings anymore or change data. Meter readings from archived meters will be still used for cost allocation and reports. Archived meters are hidden from meters list view.
You can filter meters by building or unit using filters. Additionally, the system can show abnormal consumption for meters within it. These can be selected in the Consumption filter:
-
Negative consumption - will display all meters with calculated negative consumptions.
-
Unusually high consumption - will show meters with a consumption that is twice as large as the average consumption of the last 6 months for a given unit
