Here you see a list of all the different types of units that you can use to categorize your units. You have 13 pre-existing object types, each type has its own preset units. These units will be relevant for example when you create a rental agreement, depending on the unit type different fields appear that are relevant to that unit type. The object types also help you filter your units better in different tables and views across the platform.

Custom object types

You can add your own subtypes to the existing parent types. Just click on the ‘Add’ button on the top left corner of the page. There you can add an internal name for the subtype, connect it to the parent type (which units are needed for the subtype) and you can add translations for different languages for the subtype if needed. While all the parent types are by default active, the parent types and subtypes can be switched from active to inactive. When you disable an object type it will not be visible under units, only the active types will be listed.
