In ‘Payments’ you get an overview of all the payments you have received from your tenants. If you have your bank account connected to Bidrento’s platform (link) the payments are displayed here automatically. The list view lets you sort, filter, and search for your received payments.
You can also manually upload your bank statements or enter new payments one by one into the platform. For this, you just need to click on ‘Upload bank statement’ and upload your file in either XML or MT940 format.
To add payments manually just click on ‘New payment’, which opens a new window. Fill out the required fields.
Payment details
Sum - enter the sum of the payment
Payment date - enter the date the payment was received
Currency - choose the currency the payment was received in
Description - add a description of the payment that will help you understand later what it was for, for example, ‘Tenant’s name month rent payment’ etc.
Debtor name - enter the name of the person who made the payment
Debtor account - enter the account number where the payment was made from
Creditor name - enter the name of the person who’ll receive the payment
Creditor account - enter the account number which will receive the payment
Reference number - if the payment you received had a reference number enter it here, if you add the reference number the system automatically connects it to the corresponding sales invoice instead of having to have to do it manually.
NB! If your tenant mixes it up and adds the reference number to the description box, Bidrento’s system can still find it and do the matching.
In case the tenant forgets to enter the reference number altogether Bidrento’s system will look for the invoice number and the sum. If the invoice number and sum match with an existing invoice the system will be able to match the payment to the corresponding invoice.
