In the ‘Import’ section you can import excel files to Bidrento’s platform that you need (list of your units, tenants, agreements, meter readings, inventory, etc.). There are instructions on how to import and an excel template for each import to make sure the import will be done correctly.

Units, agreements, tenants

Here you can bulk upload your units, tenants, and agreements- https://pro.bidrento.com/en/import/xls/main.

First, download the template and follow the guidelines for the mandatory fields which need to be filled. Please note that you can upload units without tenants and agreements, but you cannot upload tenants without units connected to them, and the same for agreements. This means that you can only fill out the mandatory fields related to the units and nothing else and this will successfully upload the units to the platform. Also, you need to have configured the ‘Agreement settings’ before you can upload the file.

If you have units in different buildings you need to create buildings first on the platform. Instructions here: https://support.bidrento.com/properties/adding-a-new-building. Then later when uploading the file, the platform will automatically assign the units to the corresponding building(s) based on the address.

Numeral fields which you don’t have information for but are mandatory can be filled with a ‘0’. The field can’t be just left empty.

Also, note that the template has 3 tabs, you need to keep all the tabs for the upload even if you didn’t fill out all the tabs. The first tab labeled ‘Landlord’ is for tenants who are private people. The second tab labeled ‘Landlord 2’ is for your tenants who are legal entities.

Please file import operation will be done in the background. The system will give a notification under the notification bell when the process will be completed. Also you can check job status under Logs → Queued jobs tab. Meanwhile you can continue using Bidrento.

Meters

This is where you can bulk upload all the meters- https://pro.bidrento.com/en/import/xls/meters.

Before uploading the meters, you need to have added units to the platform as the meters need to be connected to a specific unit. You can learn how to add units here- https://support.bidrento.com/properties/adding-a-new-property. If you have all the units you need to add meters to on the platform, download the template. Then you fill out the mandatory fields in the template-

  • Choose from the dropdown menu the rental unit you wish to add the meter to
  • Enter the meter’s unique id, which you have assigned to the meter
  • Choose from the dropdown menu the meter’s type (electricity, water warm, heating, etc.)
  • Choose from the dropdown menu the unit the meter is calculated in

Once you’re done adding all the meters you can upload the file to Bidrento and all the meters will be assigned to the corresponding units.

Meter readings

If you have many meter readings which you have to upload reoccurring, it will be probably faster to do it with bulk import. This is the place where you can do that- https://pro.bidrento.com/en/import/xls/meter_reading.

Just download the template and fill in the meter’s unique id and the reading. You can keep the file with the unique ids in place and just replace the readings each time it is needed, to save time.

Please note that meter readings imports can be reverted if mistakes were made. To revert the last meter consumption, go to the Queued Tasks page, locate the meter reading import event, and select 'Revert meter reading import' from the action button menu.

Meters consumptions

If you have many meter consumptions which you have to upload reoccurring, it will be probably faster to do it with bulk import. This is the place where you can do that- https://pro.bidrento.com/en/import/xls/meter_reading_consumptions.

Just download the template and fill in the meter’s unique id and the consumption. You can keep the file with the unique ids in place and just replace the consumption each time it is needed, to save time.

Inventory

Here you can import all the inventory to your rental units- https://pro.bidrento.com/en/import/xls/inventory.

Please note that you can upload inventory only related to one unit in one upload. Also, if you want to upload inventory that is assigned to specific rooms, then you need to create the rooms under the inventory tab beforehand. Instructions on how to add rooms here- https://support.bidrento.com/properties/setting-up-a-property.
